An irritating light cover of snow and constant sleet showers today but all the horses were worked and back in theor stables by 1pm.
Tomorrow's fixture at Musselburgh is subject to a 7am inspection.
In the first 2m4f hurdle we run two previous Musselburgh winners, Devotion To Duty and The Starboard Bow. Devotion To Duty has been working nicely at home this week, and The Starboard Bow although struggling to find his form this season seems to be coming to hand.
Another two course winners line up for us in the 2mile chase with Quito Du Tresor and Santas Son being joint top weights.
We were second in the Scottish Triumph hurdle last year and this year our representative is Cadore. He travelled well at Wetherby when second but disappointed last time at Ayr. He has had a freshen up at home although this looks a tough task.
Bold Sir Brian (pictured) is an exciting chaser for his owners and despite lacking experience he has impressed up to now. The track may be rather sharp for him but he has plenty of ability. He would prefer ease in the ground and we will walk the track in the morning to be sure it is alright for him. Pena Dorada may be better suited to the track especially if the forecast rain does not materialise.
