Pena Dorada (pictured at home with his work rider Faye) ran a great race to be second, jumping the Wetherby fences well. He seems to prefer the good ground and should be a good horse for John and Judith Murray through the summer. Delightfully was outpaced and Safari Adventures although looking keen through the first half of the race still lacks sparkle.
At Arlary four horses were scoped with the overground scope, all showing no problems. We were joined by Ailsa and Drew Russell and a couple of the County Set Four who watched Ryton Runner and Lucia Bay work up the wood chip gallop.
A swift swop of drivers and lorries and Jaimie and Siobhan head to Doncaster where Devotion To Duty runs tomorrow. This looks a competitve heat but he has been working well since his Musselburgh second placing.
