Pre Ayr

No racing at Musselburgh, but we were delighted to hear that the track is keen to have the meeting rescheduled for next weekend. There is no racing in the north on either Saturday or Sunday and it would be fabulous if the valuable card could be saved.

Ayr has few worries and we have six horses ready to run there.

Lucia Bay (pictured) is aimed at the mares novice hurdle final at Newbury in March and we would like her to gain more experience before then. She is taking on a highly rated filly from Gordon Elliot and has 5lbs improvement to find.

Blenheim Brook has an entry in the four mile novice handicap chase at Cheltenham and this could be his last run before then. It is a stiff contest against the highly rated and much admired Lie Forrit and although there are only three runners it will be a good race.

I liked Quacity's chase debut at Newcastle a month ago and if he can improve on his handicap mark he should be in the winners enclosure.

Etxalar was an unlucky faller early in his race last time and although better on good to soft and right handed he should be competitive.

Legbeforewicket may need further in time but her last run showed promise.

Finally She Will Rock You, a half sister to Amber Brook and Medical Card, has her rules debut in the bumper. She is a scopey filly and should have a bright future over fences.
