OrionInverness Wins For The Tay Valley Chasers At Hexham

A long awaited first win for OrionInverness this afternoon. Back over fences and at a staying track he jumped with aplomb to stay on well over the two and a half mile trip. This run will have done his confidence a lot of good and we will look for a similar race for him while the going is on the soft side. Poor Borris had a rough few runs at the start of the season, falling when looking to be closing on the leaders on two occasions and blundering in other attempts over fences. While hurdling has given him his confidence he is always going to be better over fences and with luck he will go on again from here. He is pictured in green.

The Tay Valley Chasers are eagerly awaiting the spring debut of their summer horse, Maraweh. He is in good form and will have plenty of fun round Perth this summer. There are a couple of places left in this well run club; please contact George Godsman for more details: gagodsman@hotmail.com

Well Above Par ran a brave race and though he looked like the winner after the last he was collared in the final few yards and came a gallant third. He will be a super chaser next season.

Vertigo found the going too holding, and could not quicken past rivals in it, as did Chanceiton who was pulled up at the last.

Well done Orioninverness. I am delighted for the Tay Valley Chasers. Yes Lucinda, there was a couple of occasions when your little hero appeared a real threat, especially at Ayr!!

Onwards and upwards with Orioninverness, particularly so at Hexham.

Maraweh, has done well for the Tay Valley Chasers and hopefully Perth will be kind to them.

Racing from Wetherby on Friday upcoming is live on BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra. Hopefully, your one entry at the meet will take its chance in the 3.50 heat and win, live on the BBC.

    Go get em Orioninverness!!

Well Done Boris and congratulations to all the team. I was hoping to copy the picture on this page for my scrap book. Unfortunately the top part is chopped off. is there any chance of getting a complete one? and do other viewers have the same trouble? Lucinda's pictures on this web site are always chopped off on my computer.. it is quite irritating
