It is pretty much more of the same on the yards with many miles being covered by the horses. Many have come to the end of their trotting weeks so are now cantering and with the rain over the past few days we are able to canter around the farm at Kilduff. he photograph shows four coming up the woodchip at Kilduff having been out for an hour; Green Flag and Spoils Of War (very naughty on his first day back after a mini break), lead Mighty Thunder and The Road Home. We are having lunch
We are having lunch at Monachyle Mhor today, with Spoils' owners today to celebrate his win at Perth earlier this summer. It was a date promised when we made the decision to try to bring Spoils back into training after a near life ending infected tendon injury. It is a true cause for celebration with his patient owners and Blair his jockey and Ailsa his work rider.
Tomorrow Scu and I are heading to Bangor Racecourse where I am judging at the TBA National Hunt Foal Show. An annual show of the best of British breeding, the show follows the lead of the French AQPS shows which have been successful at showcasing the year's crop of foals. It is well worth a visit if you are in the area, more details HERE
