While we take time to dismantle the marquees from the owners lunch, there is plenty of news to catch up on.
We had two new arrivals on Sunday night when Eric Gillie delivered the Tattersalls Sales Goldwell three year old of the Winnell's. He is to be named Izzy's Champion and will be broken in by Derek over the next few weeks.
We have also been sent the four year old mare by Presenting out of Blu Louisiana who is a half sister to the Cheltenham bumper winner, Dunguib. She is a good 16.1 hands high with plenty of scope. She has been broken and schooled and will start pre training with us; she is for free lease; please contact me if you would like to come and see her; she could be very special.
Our other two purchases from Tattersalls, the Phoenix Ridge and Milan three year olds have stayed in Ireland to be broken in; more news of them as time goes on.
We have a couple of new members of staff; Lorraine Cairny is back riding out for us; she worked here a number of years ago, and looked after and rode our super staying chaser Strong Resolve. Now back she is riding five lots a day and has fitted in well.
We have another yard manager at Kilduff in Andy Gudgeon. He has worked for a few yards in Lambourn and came highly recommended by Jo Davis his last employer. We look forward to his input.
Bradley Morgan and James Witt have joined Jake Patterson on the yardmen team and all of the young lads are working hard each day; they were fabulous in the run up to the owners day.
This afternoon Mark and Steve left for Worcester with Sky Khan; Sky has been in better form at home in the past few weeks and we are hoping that he runs a big race tomorrow for his owners the Ormello Way; Tina, Tony, Andrew, Willie and Peter.
