One For Arthur Wins A McCoy For Horse Of The Year

We were delighted for One For Arthur to be honoured with a McCoy Award at Cheltenham this evening, as he won the Horse Of The Year award.

Judged by an expert panel the award recognises the performance of an individual horse at the Jockey Club South West racecourses. This was for his run in the Warwick Betfair Classic Handicap Chase and was eagerly received by his owners the Two Golf Widows at the McCoys evening at Cheltenham tonight. The girls, Belinda and Debs, are pictured with their trophy.

One For Arthur has taken us all on an amazing journey; for one horse he has added so much to all of our, and many others', lives, and it is so special to have him. It is wonderful for him to be recognised by the McCoys and so kind for the Jockey Club Racecourses to invite connections to such a super evening.

Iis incredible that one horse has done so much for the profile of Scottish Racing, and forArlary and his Trainers Lucinda and Scu, who so richly deserve the high profile One For Arthur has brought them, not forgetting of course his owners, and their story of the two Golf Widows. Wonderful for Scotland and all of you. Fingers crossed for this to be repeated in 2018, and another Red Rum born.
