Irish Visit

Scu and I were in Ireland today looking at a couple of three year olds and also at The Toft's filly foal by Getaway, and a couple of the Coolmore stallions.

Of course, we had to see Milan, who at nineteen years old look fabulous and we thanked him for his sons who are a large part of our yard. We also admired Getaway, sure to become a leading National Hunt sire, and the tough Westerner.

Our filly foal has been weaned and will stay at Coolmore, while her dam is in foal to Getaway again and will be back here in a couple of weeks.

The three year olds were a couple that we bought at the August Tattersalls sales and who have been broken in, and we also had an early viewing of a few who are in training for point to points this season.

A Coolmore sire who sadly died this season and whose progeny are in high demand is Hope And Glory, and we are delighted to have a three year old filly coming to us out of Mille Et Une, a half-sister to Hell's Kitchen and bred by Netherfield Stud. She will join our three year olds and could be forward enough for a run this season.
