Limbo News

Here we are in Christmas limbo.. after Christmas and before New Year and like everyone it is hard to keep up with which day it is. We normally get some structure from the dates of the race meetings, but with Kelso' abandonment on Friday coming on the back of other cancellations, and some pretty ropey weather forecast it is hard to keep focused.

Argentix went to Market Rasen on Boxing Day and did not quicken as we thought that he would. This is not his true running and we may try him over further next time once he is checked over.

Spoils Of War ran in the staying hurdle at Wetherby where he tried hard in a competitive field but could not keep the gallop up when passed. He is probably due a short break.

Meanwhile, at home, Momkinzain has been rehomed to a wonderful family in Northumberland where he will chaperone small ponies; it will be right up his street.

The staff have been fabulous over the past week and we have been on the gallops every day, although a bit slower than usual which has resulted in some very fresh horses. Hopefully, the racing will be on at Haydock this weekend and at Musselburgh and Ayr next week.

Pictured are fifth lot today: Precious Cargo (Derek), Timesawaiting (Thomas), Imjoeking (Blair), Vinos Choice (Cameron), Blue Baton (Davy), Misfits (Mark), and Thorpe (Gemma)
