With today's Ayr meeting being abandoned our next runners will be tomorrow at Musselburgh.
We start with course winner Misfits who has run much better since he has been stepped up to three miles. A free going sort at home, Mark and the team here have done well to switch him off in his work and we are hoping that he can follow up his last time out win.
The novice hudles will be a tactical affair with The Road Home taking on the highly rated Silver Concorde. At bare ratings we need to improve a stone from The Road Homes win last time, but with Derek on board we will be looking to gain an advantage.
The Compeller hated the heavy ground at Newcastle and did not stay the trip. Hopefully on better going and a sharp track he can show the same ability that he shows at home.
Two run for us in the two mile novice handicap hurdle, Ask The Tycoon has his first start in a handicap while Hey Listen will try to take advantage of a light weight.
Rising Marianbard is curiously due to go up four pounds in the handicap from Saturday so the handicapper must think that he is well treated tomorrow on his handicap debut. He should be fine over the trip and if he can handle the track he will have a good chance.
Finally, we run three in the mares bumper, all potentially nice hurdlers. Chouquette has plenty of speed and the better the ground the better for her. Blue Baton ran a stormer to be third on debut and has come on for that run. Rubydoobs can handle soft going and has ability.
