Arizona Bound Wins At Perth

It is always risky running a horse who is for sale but we had great faith in Arizona Bound and it was justified when he won the three mile handicap chase at Perth this afternoon. Making the running and jumping with enthusiasm he gave my father a well deserved winner; he remains for sale please contact us soon if you are interested; on today's showing he should be able to follow up and would be a likely contender for the early autumn novice and handicap staying chases at Perth, Kelso and Haydock.

It was fabulous to see Sky Khan back in form and while he takes time to warm up his enthusiasm for racing is strong and he stayed on well up the home straight to just fail to peg back the front running winner.

Our two fillies ran constructive races. Simone was third, being a little hesitant early on at her hurdles, no doubt remembering her final hurdle fall last time, but staying on over the longer trip.

Charlie's Lass is a filly with lots of ability but with an over enthusiastic attitude and we were delighted with her run against more experienced rivals. Settled at the back she was green until the last few furlongs when she knuckled down to gallop to the line for third place. She is a long term project but will reward the time given to her.

Arizona is pictured with a group from Glenfarclas Distillery who were our hospitality guests for the day.
