Flying By

Another week has flown by and with it the autumn horses are getting closer to their seasonal debuts.

Jamie T has been working hard on monitoring each horse's progress and we are happy with the majority. There has been plenty of schooling and some faster sprinting for all and with our team of top schooling jockeys and work riders there is an air of enthusiastic confidence on the gallops.

Paul has sorted out races for each horse and all we need now is some extra rain to keep the racetracks' ground safe.

The water treadmill has been in great demand from horses pre and post race and for some known to have chronic muscle, joint or back problems. We have had particular success with two horses previously diagnosed with kissing spines, one of whom has been running improved races including winning this summer. I cannot believe how useful the water treadmill has been and look forward to seeing more good results from its users over the rest of the season.

We had a new arrival yesterday when the ex French Dragonhov joined the ranks. A striking dark bay he ran three times as a three year old hurdler winning once and being second at Auteuil. He will race for Anna Bramall and looks an above average type.

Next week there is racing at Hexham and Kelso, and also the Goffs Sales at Doncaster; irritatingly clashing with Kelso.I like the look of a couple of form horses there and will go down to see them and the other 290 lots, please join me if you are interested. View the CATALOGUE
