Timesawaiting is just a four year old but he has shown good ability when second to a well regarded bumper winner of ours, and he is making good progress on our gallops.
Timesawaiting has both speed and stamina in his pedigree; he is by a six to eight furlong winner Arakan out of a mare who won over a mile and a half and two miles on the flat, and at two miles two furlongs over hurdles. He is athletic and at 16.2 hands high he has lots of scope for both hurdling and chasing.
On his debut Irish point to point as a four year old Timesawaiting came second to Ask The Tycoon, the two horses sprinting over the final two fences together and Timesawaiting just losing out when wandering on the run in. Having bought Ask The Tycoon in the summer we were delighted when he won his bumper easily for Mark and Susie Russell at Ayr in November and was third on his novice hurdles debut at Newcastle.
I think that while Timesawaiting has taken a little longer to mature than Ask The Tycoon he is a very decent prospect for this winter and spring. He is for sale at a reasonable price and if he is as good as we think Ask the Tycoon is then he should have a bright future.
